Rancho Palos Verdes sits atop the Palos Verdes Hills and bluffs of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Neighboring communities include Palos Verdes Hills, Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills and Rolling Hills Estates. Incorporated in 1973, it is the newest and largest municipality on the Peninsula. Upwards of 40,000+ residents live in a 13.5 square mile area. Homes in the city are composed of primarily single-family houses and estates, with some condominiums and townhomes. The 7.5 miles of coastline has a striking topography of quiet coves and beaches protected by steep cliffs and possesses one of the most beautiful coastlines in California.
