Capo Beach

Capistrano Beach, commonly referred to as “Capo Beach,” is a rather exclusive community on the southern edge of Dana Point. Unincorporated since its inception in the 1800’s, it was annexed into the City of Dana Point in 1989. The beach here is not as wide as those that you will find up the coast in Huntington Beach and Newport Beach, for example, but it is less crowded which is something that locals truly appreciate.

From guard-gated beach-level oceanfront estates to majestic homes above the towering cliffside, Capo Beach has managed to retain a small town feel without the development that has happened in most of the surrounding Orange County area. Of course, don’t let its size fool you. Just because it is small doesn’t mean it isn’t notable. Many celebrities call Capo Beach home, and sightings aren’t exclusive to Los Angeles.
